The Film

The film takes an in-depth look at the evolving landscape of the Cotswolds over the past century. It will explore key changes, including the development of the farming industry, the effects of climate change, and shifting social practices—all of which have significantly shaped the region’s rivers, wildlife, insects, and wildflowers. Through diverse perspectives from those who live, work, and care deeply about the Cotswolds today, we will delve into both the positive and negative impacts on the landscape. Celebrating those who are driving positive change, the film seeks to inspire and empower viewers with actionable insights, showing how they too can make choices to engage with and enhance the natural environment.

Production Update 🎬

Filming is now complete!

After a year of production, we’ve officially wrapped filming for Cotswold: Field & Folk. The cameras have captured stories from across the Cotswolds — from hilltop farms and community projects to rivers, meadows, and historic estates — all exploring how people and place are intertwined in this remarkable landscape.

As we move into post-production, our focus turns to shaping the final film for its festival run in 2026, followed by a series of community screenings, school events, and venue tours across the Cotswolds.

Alongside the main film, we’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes stories, stills, and short features celebrating the people who have helped bring Field & Folk to life.

Stay tuned for updates as Field & Folk continues its journey from the Cotswolds to the big screen.
