Jonty Brunyee

Jonty Brunyee is a leading voice in the UK’s regenerative farming movement and the driving force behind Conygree Farm, nestled within the National Trust’s Sherborne Park Estate in the Cotswolds. Alongside his wife Mel, Jonty manages a diverse, pasture-fed system rooted in organic principles, working with traditional breeds such as Cotswold sheep and Hereford cattle.

At the heart of Conygree Farm is a deep commitment to soil health, biodiversity, and farming in harmony with nature. Jonty’s approach centres on building resilient ecosystems—prioritising species-rich grasslands, low-input methods, and a holistic understanding of the land. His work reflects a shift away from extractive agriculture towards a model that restores and sustains both the environment and rural communities.

Beyond the farm, Jonty is a passionate educator and advocate for change within the agricultural sector. He plays an active role in initiatives such as FarmED and the Royal Agricultural University, and co-founded Emergent Generation, a network supporting young farmers in transitioning to regenerative practices. Through mentoring, public speaking, and collaboration, he is helping to shape a new narrative for farming—one that values connection, stewardship, and long-term thinking.

Jonty’s work at Conygree Farm stands as a powerful example of what is possible when farming works with nature rather than against it, offering both inspiration and a practical blueprint for the future of British agriculture.
